Douglas Arms 26 Sep 08

A couple of surprise visitors to the Douglas last night - an Eastender who doesn't often travel beyond Skinner's on Friday night and a weekend trip to Banchory by a visitor from Linlithgow:

Ian preferred the golf on TV to Dave's and John's conversation:
CK and Sharpy were obviously amused at something:

Thistle v Rangers CIS Cup Sep 08

For the second year in a row, the Jags were unlucky to lose out to Rangers in a cup tie. A goal deep in to extra time saved the match going to penalties. Rangers had taken the lead with a wonderful Marco van Basten like goal from Kris Boyd, but, unsurprisingly, it's Thistle's first half equaliser that I've chosen to feature here:

CK's daughter's wedding

The Deeside Piper had the photo of Gillian's wedding last week:

Father of the bride

It was Gillian Kilgour's wedding on Saturday - here's the mother and father of the bride:

The reception was at Finzean House, where CK assumed his natural role as Lord of the Manor:

Colin's speech was interesting - note reference to downloading from he who hasn't even got broadband yet!:

Jeb's 50th

Dave and I arrived at DATA on Friday in good time, so we prepared for the arrival of the Man Himself:

Eventually, Jeb - and everyone else - arrived and we were able to make the formal presentation:

Try as I might, I couldn't get old man Gore out of centre frame - and just what was Steve Paterson doing?

The squad - minus late arrival Gerry Mullins - lined up for another in the long line of team photos:

It was back to the Douglas for beers - and we were joined by CK and Andy Marshall's Dad:

Jeb displayed one of his birthday t-shirts, with Dave and Colin looking on:

Sorry - no photos of the meal at the Derbar afterwards - I was on family duties!

Wolves v Forest 30th August, 2008

Detailed match reports from our usual (Forest) source are (unsurprisingly) a little sketchy, but here's Malcolm's photos of what proved to be a great day out for him and Andy:
