With Malcolm ski-ing in Wyoming and Cinderella Gary on domestic duties, there were two new debutants to the Headbangers group last night – Jeb Tyrie and Andy Marshall. There had to be a late change of venue as Grant Towers was apparently double booked, so we had to return to Chapel House, Potarch, chez Williamsons. There was also a bit of a last minute flap when Dave blew his main amp and we couldn’t find a suitable working replacement. Thankfully, some skilful engineering (all those years with BP put to good use at last) from Dave saved the day and the technology stood up to the battering we gave it.

Take-away curries from the new Coriander were picked up straight from Friday night football and Dave did the taxi-ing out to his house where the mini-casks from the local Hillside brewery at Lumphanan had been set up.

Dave was leaving early in the morning so it was an early evening – carriages at 11:45 – but we got through a fair amount of DVD’s and over 60 old .mpeg files - principally this time from the 70’s - in the four hour stint. Still the team favourite is Johnny Cash’s “Hurt” – there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when it finished! It was thought appropriate to do the team photo in front of a still of the famous Robert Palmer “Addicted to love” video:

Under Andy’s arm he is holding a couple of his old scrap books from the 70’s – fascinating nostalgic reading – a possible for a future Antiques Road Show?
