Some more views from the ground - we were fortunate to have Members' Guests tickets, courtesy of our old squash partner, Robert Strang Steel, which allowed us access to several of the stands to take in the different views. This one's from the Tavern:
Also from the Tavern, this is the Members' Pavilion:
and the "Media Centre" (not the "press box") at the Nursery End:
When the Kiwis innings ended, there was a brief interval, during which England Ladies' team were presented with some trophy (?):
Like last year, we went to the Australain Pie Company stall for lunch and ate it in the sunshine at the Nursery, where there was a large screen to view the cricket:
Towards the end, when England were down to their last wicket and it was obvious they were going to get nowhere near the NZ total, we decided to leave and find a pub with a TV to try and catch the end of Andy Murray's match - we found the Warwick Arms in Maida Vale - good beer, nice pub and TV, but too late to see the end of the tennis:
When walking around London, it's difficult to avoid all the music references (St John's Wood, Warwick Avenue etc etc) - here's one of the obvious ones:
In the evening we walked from our hotel, along Euston Road towards the newly cleaned up St Pancras building:
Dinner was at an extremely lively and noisy tapas bar in the West End and our search for a decent music pub was fruitless. Anyway, it had been a long day for both of us and we were back in our room before midnight. This year, Dave managed to get the booking right and we did each have a bed of our own:
