The final table for the 2009/10 season forecasts shows:
- 1 Ziegler, Geordie 10
- 2 = McRae, Ian 9
- 2 = Paterson, Steve 9
- 4 = Dickinson, Chris 8
- 4 = Lodge, Malcolm 8
- 4 = Marshall, Andy 8
- 4 = McWhinnie, John 8
- 4 = Stewart, Ian 8
- 4 = Tyrie, Jeb 8
- 10 = Black, Ken 7
- 10 = Kilgour, Colin 7
- 12 = Grant, Gary 6
- 12 = Meany, Nigel 6
- 12 = Robertson, Andy 6
- 12 = Trimble, Tim 6
- 12 = Williamson, Dave 6
- 17 = Dunnachie, Rob 5
- 17 = Hay, Ryan 5
- 17 = Macindoe, Stewart 5
- 20 Sharp, Ian 4
We all knew that Geordie had won, and the shame game "winner" was also pretty clear some time ago - Ian actually redeemed himself a little in the World Cup Final by forecasting Holland as runners-up - the only one to do so - otherwise he was well adrift at the foot of the table, correctly forecasting only Chelsea, Portsmouth and Notts Co prior to that.
Geordie's 50% success rate is pretty good. Rob and Andy R also had 50% last year, but that was only 4 from 8 on that occasion - this time there were 20 picks.
Get your thinking caps on - the 2010/11 season is almost upon us - I'll be sending a separate note out about that.
