With his son, Graeme, getting married today (Sunday), Ian thought this was an appropriate reason to buy a rake of drams in the Douglas on Friday night:
| L-R: my brother-in-law, Brian Hanson; Ian McRae; Jeb Tyrie; Colin Kilgour; Steve Paterson; Ian Stewart & Ian Sharp. |
Feedback on the format for the Football Forecasts for 2012-13 was fairly limited, but most seemed to generally prefer the status quo. I have, however, taken on board John McW's comments about omitting runners-up, and have instead replaced these in the European section with winners of two of Europe's premier domestic leagues - Germany and Spain.
The final line-up of 20 forecasts is therefore:
| Scotland (7) | |
| SPL | Winners |
| SPL | Relegated |
| Div 1 | Winners |
| Div 2 | Winners |
| Div 3 | Winners |
| League Cup | Winners |
| Scottish Cup | Winners |
| England (9) | |
| Premiership | Winners |
| Premiership | Relegated |
| Premiership | Relegated |
| Premiership | Relegated |
| Championship | Winners |
| Division 1 | Winners |
| Division 2 | Winners |
| Carling Cup | Winners |
| F.A. Cup | Winners |
| Europe (4) | |
| Champions League | Winners |
| Europa League | Winners |
| Bundesliga | Winners |
| La Liga | Winners |
Usual rules - £5 entry fee, with a maximum of 5 changes permitted at New Year (£1 each). Please let me have your entries by the end of August, if possible, together with your nominated charity.
