Yes, it's time for the annual reminder - just a mere 41 years ago today, a young Thistle team cuffed the mighty Celtic in the League Cup Final. 4-0 at half time, finished up 4-1 at full-time and made legends of these guys - at least in the eyes of CK and I (plus a few others):

Times have changed but the Jags are on the up again and are op of the First Division and in another final in April - the Ramsdens Cup, where they had half expected to meet Rangers, but Queen of the South saw to that.
This Saturday, Dave, Colin and I are planning a trip down to Falkirk to watch them. Pity we couldn't have joined Andy Marshall at Firhill last Saturday when they whupped Airdrie 7-0!
